Representatives from Telkomcel Timor Leste and Hacktiv8, alongside esteemed government officials and the top winners of Hacktiv8’s recent hackathon, embarked on a significant visit to DAnS Multi Pro. The company was chosen to represent the local tech industry. The visit marked a step forward in exploring strategic partnerships and technology exchange between Indonesia and Timor Leste.

The distinguished delegation included Mr. Reinaldo Borges, National Director of MSME Development and representative from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of Timor Leste; Mr. Apolo Justino Franca da Silva, Timor Leste’s Trade Attaché; Mr. Frediderico Cabral, Adviser Comércio; Hermansyah Justinus, Protocol Officer; Mr. Dedy Edward Ambarita, VP Finance and Business Partner at Telkomcel Timor Leste; and Maun Jo Amaral Pereira, Manager Enterprise at Telkomcel.
The visit also celebrated youth achievement in the digital sector. Three rising tech talents — Maun Amaro, Maun Alfa, and Maun Natalino — winners of the recent Hackathon competition organized by Hacktiv8 in collaboration with Telkomcel, were given a rare opportunity to travel to Jakarta. Their prize: an immersive experience into Indonesia’s tech landscape, culminating in a visit to one of the country’s leading IT solution providers, DAnS Multi Pro. Therefore, they can observe the actual condition of a tech company’s working culture.
The delegation was warmly received by Mr. Aan Kurniawan, Founder and President Director of DAnS Multi Pro. In his welcome remarks, Mr. Aan shared the origin story of the company, his personal motivation in building a digital enterprise, and how perseverance turned DAnS into a thriving business that now contributes significantly to client revenue through high-impact tech projects. His gesture of speaking a few words in Portuguese — including a heartfelt “Obrigado” — added a warm, personal touch that resonated with the guests. In response, Mr. Reinaldo emphasized the motivational value of such visits for young digital talents and emphasized the opportunity to strengthen economic and technological ties between Timor Leste and Indonesia. Echoing the sentiment, Mr. Dedy from Telkomcel highlighted that success comes not only from talent but from consistent effort. He reflected on Mr. Aan’s story as a model of perseverance and urged the young winners and Telkomcel’s broader team to learn from DAnS’s journey.

The visit included a brief yet meaningful cultural exchange. In a gesture of respect and tradition, the Timorese delegation presented a Tais — a traditional handwoven textile symbolic of heritage and honor — to DAnS. It becomes an even more invaluable exchange due to the cultural significance of Tais, which also represents appreciation towards the given. This act not only showed the importance of cultural diplomacy but also reinforced the bonds of friendship and mutual respect between the two nations.
The guests were then given a comprehensive introduction to DAnS Multi Pro’s business operations. Through a company profile presentation, the DAnS team shared its mission to deliver tailor-made IT solutions that drive measurable impact for clients across industries. From enterprise resource planning systems to digital transformation projects and data-driven analytics, DAnS has developed a robust portfolio of services that cater to complex business needs. One standout story involved a project that significantly boosted client revenue, highlighting how DAnS’s technology solutions don’t just solve problems—they create value. The presentation also showcased DAnS’s emphasis on continuous innovation and talent development, making the company a natural inspiration for aspiring tech workers.

To further enhance the experience, the delegation was given an in-depth office tour. The group explored the space, observing teams in action—developers coding live features, designers refining user interfaces, and project managers coordinating with their teams. The tour provided the hackathon winners with a tangible sense of what a thriving tech company looks like in practice. Interactive discussions along the way gave the visitors an opportunity to ask questions, engage with the DAnS team, and learn about the company’s agile workflow, collaborative culture, and the real-world challenges they solve for clients.
The visit concluded with mutual expressions of appreciation and optimism for future collaboration. Both parties acknowledged the potential for ongoing knowledge exchange, co-innovation, and support for emerging digital talents across Southeast Asia. With smiles, photographs, and tokens exchanged, the day ended on a hopeful note — one where borders do not limit vision, and technology becomes the bridge between nations.
